VIRTUAL ASSISTANT PROFILE

I became a Virtual Assistant because I like combining my organizational, administrative and creative skills.

Working as a VA offers diversity, flexibility, independence and the opportunity to work with and support individuals and companies in a variety of different areas and also allows me to take the skills I have acquired to the next level.

I work from my office, Virtual offices with my own IT facilities.

Professional Experience:

Recent VA work has included transcribing for Medical, Legal, Movie Productions companies, Books Publishers, ect. organizations, working to extremely tight deadlines.

I worked for four and half years at Capilano Industries/Mega Handling Systems as a Receptionist/Admin Clerk, Trudon [Yellow Pages] as Receptionist/Sales Administrator Assistant.

This position offered a great deal of diversity and independence. It involved:


  • Typing & Filing.
  • Assisting in organizing year end functions for the company.
  • Answering & Taking messages for all staff.
  • Ordering and monitoring stationery for both companies.
  • Making appointments for Management.
  • Updating the departmental telephone extension list.
A large part of the position involved dealing with customers enquiries and providing assistance to management and staff.

I also worked as Receptionist/Sales Administrator Assistant at Trudon [Yellow Pages], it’s a Publishing company.

This was a very challenging and demanding position with duties similar to those I carried out when working at Capilano Industries & Mega Handling Systems but which also included:


  • Assisting Accounts department.
  • Providing managers with daily figures.
  • Assisting Reps with making & cancelling their appointments.
  • Printing Reps performance for the managers.
  • Data capturing new contracts into the system.
I began my administrative work with Capilano Industries/Mega Handling Systems working at Reception and assisting both companies with clerical and administrative duties.

Skills, Education and Training:


IT Skills I have over twelve years of experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

Typing speed: 60 WPM
Audio typing speed: 60 WPM,


Areas: General, legal and medical transcription.

Academic Qualifications I attended a computer course at IT Intellect, and obtained 2 Certificates of Microsoft Word – Intermediate, and Certificate – Microsoft Excel – Intermediate.
